    Where do files attached to a company go?

    Into that company's folder, visible both on the company record and under the Companies library in Artifacts.

    Are contracts stored in Artifacts?

    They live under Artifacts, on the Contracts tab, stored restricted to members with Contracts access and never in the general file list.
