Cookie Policy

    1. What are cookies

    Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work (e.g. keep you logged in), remember preferences, and sometimes support analytics or marketing. We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy.

    2. How we use cookies

    Essential cookies are necessary for the service to function (e.g. authentication and security). We do not ask for consent for these; without them the site would not work properly.

    Non-essential cookies (e.g. analytics, marketing) are used only where we have your prior consent. In the EU/EEA and other jurisdictions that require it, we ask for your opt-in before setting such cookies or activating related tools. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie preference controls or your browser settings. If you choose Essential only, analytics tools do not run and any analytics-related storage we control is not used for new capture.

    Analytics (statistics) cookies and similar technologies

    If you switch on Analytics (or choose Accept all), we use PostHog (EU cloud). If you switch on Marketing (or choose Accept all), we load Google Tag Manager, through which we run Google Analytics. They help us understand how the site and product are used, and may set cookies or use similar browser storage to collect:

    • Pages viewed, navigation paths, and general interaction events (e.g. clicks and scrolls)
    • Device and browser information (e.g. language, screen size, operating system)
    • Session replay:: recordings of how you interact with pages (e.g. mouse movements, scrolling, and clicks). These replays are part of our analytics programme, not essential operation. We configure replay to mask form field inputs by default so typed content is not recorded

    Analytics and session replay do not start until you switch on Analytics, and Google Tag Manager is not loaded at all until you switch on Marketing. Nothing in this category runs if you choose Essential only. The same choice applies when you are logged into the Lumenbase application, where you can change it under Settings, My settings, Privacy. PostHog is listed on our Subprocessors page.

    Marketing site visitor cookie

    Our public marketing site uses lb_visitor and lb_uid to store visitor IDs after you accept analytics cookies. We use these IDs to:

    • Recognise you as a returning visitor
    • Understand how the marketing site is used (e.g. which pages and links are viewed or clicked)
    • If you later create an account, link that visit history to your account for our internal analytics and support
    • When you follow a tracked link in our email, connect your visits to the contact who received it

    We may also collect approximate location (country/city) and device information (e.g. browser, operating system, language) in connection with this cookie. This is used for analytics and product improvement. In the EU/EEA and where required by law, we treat this as a non-essential (analytics) cookie and obtain your consent before setting it.     4. Managing your choices

    You can withdraw consent or change your cookie preferences at any time by:

    • Using the Cookie preferences link in our footer (on marketing pages), or the Cookie preferences button under Settings, My settings, Privacy (in the application), to reopen the consent banner and make a new choice.
    • Adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect how the service works.

    reopens the consent banner so you can choose again.
