    Frequently asked questions

Does Smart Privacy read my messages to decide what is personal?

No. It checks the conversation's linked contact, company or deal for business history in the workspace. A personal topic in a business-linked conversation may still be shared. Set that conversation to Private individually to keep it private.

Will turning on Smart Privacy share a Private channel?

No. A Private default shares nothing. Choose Fully Shared or Shared with some to share qualifying conversations. Share business conversations enables Smart Privacy and sets each Private message channel to Fully Shared; it leaves Calendar and individually set conversations alone.

Can a colleague's work make my conversation qualify?

Yes. The rule uses business history across the workspace, including deals, leads, invoices, non-Private lists and accounts. It is not limited to work you did yourself. A conversation set to Private individually keeps that setting.

Who can see a private synced meeting?

With calendar Smart Privacy on, the syncing owner and invited workspace members retain access to a provider-private meeting. Calendar starts Fully Shared with Smart Privacy off. Run a calendar sync after enabling it to refresh provider privacy flags.

Does Smart Privacy recall content already shared?

No. It cannot recall content already shared in messages, exports, notifications or knowledge. Existing shared memories are not automatically reclassified. New workspace knowledge uses shared source content while Smart Privacy is on.

Does Smart Privacy hide LinkedIn connections?

No. Confirmed LinkedIn connection facts stay shared in the workspace. Smart Privacy controls conversations and knowledge derived from their content, not the fact that two people are connected.
