    What Are Contacts?

Contacts are person-level records in Lumenbase. They represent the people you communicate with, sell to, support, and collaborate with across your pipeline.

Link each contact to a company, deals, tasks, and timeline activities. Clean contact records improve your targeting, sharpen follow-ups, and help you cover more stakeholders per account.

Contact records should represent real individuals, not shared inboxes. Keep one canonical record per person.

How Contacts Are Used Across the App

    Pipeline and deal work

    • Link contacts as stakeholders on deals (champion, decision maker, influencer).
    • Read contacts in Leads and Deals activity streams for qualification context.
    • Track engagement consistency and spot stale relationships.

    Execution and communications

    • Assign tasks and plan follow-ups against a contact.
    • Anchor timeline events to a contact (emails, calls, meetings, notes).
    • Feed segmentation and list-based outreach workflows (using your favorite outreach platform).

    Contact Management Workflow

    1. Create or import the contact with required fields (name, email, company).
    2. Link to the correct company and assign owner.
    3. Add role/stakeholder context if connected to active deals.
    4. Log meaningful activities and schedule next-step tasks.
    5. Review stale contacts weekly and re-qualify or archive as needed.
Use Lists to group contacts by campaign, segment, or lifecycle stage for repeatable outreach (via your outreach platform).
