    Frequently asked questions

How do I add Lumenbase to my iPhone Home Screen in Safari or Chrome?

Open your workspace in Safari or Chrome on iPhone, sign in and open the mobile home screen. Use Share, then Add to Home Screen, check the details and tap Add. In Safari, keep Open as Web App on if shown. With Chrome, the icon opens a web app when available, or your default browser otherwise. Launch the new icon and sign in again if asked.

How do I install Lumenbase or create a shortcut on Android?

Open your workspace in Chrome, sign in and open the mobile home screen. Tap the three-dot More menu, then Install and create shortcut. Choose Install for the web app when offered, or Create shortcut, name it and tap Add. Some browser versions call the menu Add to home screen or Install app.

What is the difference between installing Lumenbase and creating a shortcut?

An installed web app can open in its own window without the usual browser bar. A shortcut opens a saved page in your browser. Both use your existing Lumenbase account and workspace. Neither changes your plan or permissions.

Are native Android and iPhone apps planned?

We are considering dedicated Android and iPhone apps for the near future, but there is no confirmed release date. You can use the mobile web experience today by adding Lumenbase to your Home Screen or installing it through your browser.

Does adding Lumenbase to my Home Screen make it work fully offline?

No. Many actions still need an internet connection. Finish pending recording and memo uploads before removing the web app or clearing browser data, because content saved only on your phone can be lost.

How do I get Lumenbase notifications on my phone?

Open Lumenbase from the Home Screen icon. Tap Turn on when the mobile home screen offers notifications, or open Settings, Device notifications and tap Enable on this device, then allow notifications when your phone asks. On iPhone this works only in the app added to the Home Screen, on iOS 16.4 or later.
