Comparison
Lumenbase vs Zoho CRM: which fits your team?
Zoho CRM is one application inside a suite of about fifty, priced low per seat and built to be configured. That is a real strength for a team with someone to own it, and a real cost for a team without one. Lumenbase is a single product for B2B service firms: the funnel, the client accounts after the sale, delivery, and invoicing, with email, meetings, and LinkedIn captured for you. This page is the honest read on both.
Quick verdict
When each one wins
Lumenbase is better if
- You do not have anyone whose job is to configure and maintain a CRM
- You want a Lead Development stage that sits between contacts and deals you forecast
- Lumo is always on. It tells you who to contact and why, and gives you a draft to send or skip
- You can record meetings from your browser on Meet, Teams, and Zoom. You get the transcript and a Lumo summary on the contact timeline
- You want the client to stay visible after the deal is won, with delivery and invoicing on the same record
- You would rather pay one seat price than assemble a suite from four subscriptions
Zoho CRM is better if
- The entry seat price is the deciding factor and you have time to configure
- You want marketing, help desk, books, and projects from one vendor
- You need heavy per-module customization and have someone to own it
- You already run other Zoho products and want one account for everything

Lumenbase vs Zoho CRM: feature by feature
What you get on day one
Zoho ships a flexible shell. Modules, layouts, workflow rules, and reports are all yours to define, which is why two Zoho instances rarely look alike. Lumenbase ships opinionated: the funnel, the account view, and the reports are already there, and the trade is that you configure less and change less.
The bill, honestly
Zoho CRM per seat is among the cheapest in the market. The number that matters is the total: Campaigns, Desk, Books, and Projects are separate products with separate subscriptions, and a firm using four of them is on a very different bill from the one on the CRM pricing page. Lumenbase is one plan with invoicing included.
Getting data in without typing it
Both sync email and calendar. Lumenbase also records meetings from the browser and pulls contacts off LinkedIn through the Capture extension, and it derives relationship strength from that traffic rather than from logged notes. Zoho has Zia for assistance and scoring, gated by plan.
After the deal closes
Zoho can be configured to track accounts after the sale, and many firms do exactly that. Lumenbase treats it as the default: Accounts is part of the funnel, renewals and quiet clients surface on their own, and an invoice is raised from the same record.
Where each may not be the best fit
Lumenbase may not fit if…
- Teams that want to reshape every module and layout themselves
- Companies that want a single vendor for accounting, support, and HR as well
Zoho CRM may not fit if…
- Teams with no internal owner for the configuration work
- Firms that need the client relationship modelled after the sale without building it
- Teams that want email, meetings, and LinkedIn captured without manual logging
Which should you choose?
Pick Lumenbase if you want a CRM that works on day one for a relationship-led service business, with capture, always-on AI, accounts, and invoicing included rather than configured or bought separately.
Pick Zoho CRM if the low entry price matters most, you want the rest of the Zoho suite available, and you have someone who will own the configuration and keep owning it.
